It wasn’t my first visit to The Courtyard at the Manzil Downtown. It’s my go-to place for Sheesha. During my staycation at the hotel, I revisited the restaurant for the sheesha and some light dinner.
The place in the evening is very dim light and has a small fountain in the middle of the courtyard. The seating is comfortable. Started with some fresh berry mocktail.
We got some mezze like hummus, mutabal, and fattoush salad. For main course, we order a koshari which was excellent. It came with a side of spicy sauce.
We also got a mixed grill for two. It was loaded with chicken, kebab, and lamb chops and presented in a pan. More than enough for two!
For the dessert, sticky date pudding it a great choice. It came with a side of ice cream. We got a grape shisha and watermelon which lasted for long.
The courtyard is open til 6:00 am and Shisha served til 3:00 am. This will remain my choice for shisha and now for some quick bites too. The service was better than excepted since it was completely full.
