In the busy and bustling Meena Bazar is a hidden gem that serves Bombay style Street food. It’s a small cozy restaurant with live counters for many dishes. The interiors are small but there’s plenty of space outside for the street experience.
We started with some Pani Puri and Dahi Puri. The green pani was as it should be – Spicy and tangy. Enjoyed the pani puri more than the dahi one.
Next up was Samosa chat in dahi and chana. It lit up my taste buds since I enjoy samosas.
The pav bhaji was prepared at the live counter with extra butter on the pav. The sight of sizzling butter and pav was as perfect as the taste. Recommended!
The highlight of the evening was JINI Dosa. It’s not your regular south Indian dosa but Bombay style. It was stuffed with spicy veggies and topped with cheese. Highly recommended.
We also tried the gobi paratha. It was big in size and prepared with fresh bread which comes across in taste. It came with a side of yogurt and pickle.
The only dish I was disappointed in was the Paneer Tawa Pulao. The rice was way too soft and soggy.
This place is a must stop if you are ever in Meena Bazar and craving Indian street food. The prices are more than pocket-friendly. I would visit this place more often if it didn’t have parking issues but will surely be back to try more of the menu!
