If you’re craving Turkish cuisine at La Mer, then O’Doner at the Central La Mer is a good option. Bright and traditional interiors with modern touches is an eye candy. All the tiles and artwork is imported from Turkey including the handmade cutlery.
We had some fresh Pomegranate juice along with Turkish Ayran for drinks. For starters, we tried a doner kebab in a freshly baked bread. Enjoyed every bite! But my favorite was the Pide and the pepperoni one was lit!
For the main course, we got the Iskender Kebab and Adana Kebab. My preference was the Iskender as it had the juicy baked bread in it.
The star of the day was the Pineapple Rice. Excellent tender meat cooked in rice with spices inside a pineapple. All the flavors worked wonderfully and I’d highly recommend it!
For the desserts it was the thin baklava rolled in was the Turkish ice cream. Pretty light and delish. Of course, the end had to be with the Turkish tea.
The service was great and we had a good time! O’Doner would be even better in winters as they have outdoor seating and a great sea view! I’d recommend this place for a quick bite of doner and also for a full-fledged meal!
