Dhaba Lane is located in Bur Dubai with colorful interiors and giving a vibe of a typical Punjabi Dhaba but more urban. We started unexpectedly with an Amouse bouche of Naan Khatai chaat and followed with some Old Delhi papri chaat which was crunchy and flavorful.
Pink Pepper Fish was my favorite starter. For the main course, the Palak with baked paneer was excellent. It looks like ice cream and the paneer just melts in your mouth. We also had some daal makhani which was great with the naans.
In the desserts, the kulfi was a better choice. The chocolate walnut tart didn’t suit my palate.
We kind of had a 12-course meal in a casual place and most of the food was great and so was the pricing. The chef definitely has some fine dining experience or training and it gives an edge to Dhaba Lane!
