After the first licensed cinema outlet in Jebel Ali, Guy Fieri Kitchen now has a stand-alone restaurant in Dubai Mall and an extended menu. The location is a bit tricky as it’s on the first floor of the Reel Cinema. The interiors are classic with a lot of graffiti.
I opted to try few of the new items like Lobster lollipops which came with a side of awesome aioli. The cheesy fries were on the bottom got soggy due to melted cheese. I’d prefer it on the side but the lobster itself was very flavorful.
My favorite starter was the Jalapeno poppers. They were jumbo in size and even better was the filling. Chorizo and bacon bits in cheese was filled generously. The ranch complimented the poppers.
For the main course, I tried the new Angus Prime Time Wagyu Burger. It was juicy and tender with all the right ingredients. The other dish was a steak sandwich which was quite huge in portion.
For the desserts, I got the new Strawberry Fool! This is something I want to sit in a movie with. A giant bowl of ice cream with pound cake, strawberries, whip cream. It was fantastic.
The service was great and I felt the food and quality at Dubai Mall was much better than the one I tried at Jebel Ali. The new dishes were much needed to the menu. Don’t miss the Strawberry fool and the Jalapeno Poppers!
