Trattoria Toscana is a casual family dining restaurant at Madinat Jumeirah with canal views and homely interior. I thought the ambiance was befitting the Italian way and gives a vibe of a family-friendly atmosphere. There’s outdoor seating as well with an amazing view.
For starters, we got a bucket of deep fried crispy calamari, shrimps, and zucchini with a spicy dip and a platter of mixed starters which was great for sharing. The meatballs were outstanding!
For the main course, we got a Mushroom Risotto, a bolognese, and a Truffle Pizza! The Risotto was disappointing in taste and texture but the Truffle Pizza was excellent. The base had a truffle sauce with smoked mozzarella and marinated meat on top.
For desserts, a great choice would be the Tiramisu. One of the best I had! I loved how generously the cocoa powder was sprinkled on top.
Overall enjoyed the food and the ambiance. The large dishes are good for families to share. The service was decent. If you’re looking for Italian food in Madinat Jumeirah, then this is the place! The summer specials focaccia and sharing sundaes are available for a limited time till the end of August as a part of the La Famiglia menu
