Guy Fieri is no stranger to the food industry having his own TV shows, books and a couple of restaurants. The latest one is in Jebel Ali Recreational Club with the concept of Dine In Cinema and the first licensed cinema in the region.
The interiors reflect of an American bar and diner with mostly woodwork and cool graffiti. You can choose to just dine in as well and not necessarily watch a movie.
We got the special package which includes movie for two along with two starters and two main courses as well as two beverages per couple. The movie of the evening was Ant-Man and the Wasp.
My choice of drink was a mocktail – Berry me alive – and it was surprisingly very refreshing and fruity in a huge goblet. I sipped it throughout the movie!
I Ordered the Chicken tenders for starters while my partner got the Trashcan nachos. The better choice is the tenders which come with 3 dips and I enjoyed them all! The nachos get too soggy too quickly.
For the main course, I had to go for the Bacon Mac and Cheeseburger. It’s huge and can be messy! In terms of taste, it was average. The cordon bleu pasta was just okay as well!
Desserts were impressive. There’s two and we tried both of them. The Dark Chocolate layered cake is heavenly and so was the New York marbled cheesecake. Pick any and no regrets!
Overall, it was a good experience and the service was great. Just raise your hand in the cinema and the server would attend you.
My criticism of Guy Fieri would be – there are just 6 main course items to choose from and 3 of them are burgers. I wish there was more and was hoping Guy Fieri would have included some local favorites into his menu like he did on his shows! Maybe a Kebab sandwich or Tikka Parotha? Contact me for ideas 😉
