B’dou cafe located at City Walk is a bedouin inspired cafe with great interiors. A giant Arabian horse painting is impressive. There’s plenty of seating – outdoors, indoors and upstairs.
We got the soup of the day which was Lentil along with Rocca Salad and chicken fatteh. The most impressive was the chicken fatteh that was topped with potato strings. It was the best I had. The salad was a good combination with feta cheese but lacked nuts.
For the main course, we got the chicken machboos which came with three side sauces. The chicken was roasted and had the skin on. The other dish was Crispy-skin Seabass on a bed of crispy onions and potatoes. The flavors were spot on.
For the desserts, we got a Rose Milk cake which had very thick and over the top sweet cream on it. We finished the meal with some Saudi Gahwa and dates. Loved the presentation and the light flavor.
Overall, it was a good experience and one must visit to experience the bedouin style and cuisine. The service was a little slow but the food quality was good. Must try the Fatteh and Chicken machboos!
