Sagar Ratna has opened its second branch in Dubai and serves pure vegetarian Indian cuisine particularly the Marwari cuisine. The interiors are bright with white and blue combos and have lots of tables.
We started with some Makhaniya lassi which was great. For starters, we got a platter of Pyaz kachori and michi bada. The pyaz kachori was outstanding. Very crispy and had no oily residue.
We got a Mehrangarth Kebab platter which consisted of paneer angaar, bharwan aloo, seekh kebab, hara bhara kebab, tandoori gobi and malai paneer. My favorite of the lot was the aloo and paneer.
For the main course we got Paneer Tikka masala which had a smoky coal flavor. The smoky dal makhani and gatta curry. It was served with fresh wheat chapati and jadi buti naan which was unique. I’d highly recommend the paneer and the naan.
We ended on a sweet note with Rabri Ghaver and some excellent masala ginger tea. The service was great and the overall the food quality was really good. Sagar Ratna makes their paneer in-house so you can feel the freshness in taste. Everything has pure desi ghee in it and it’s pretty healthy. If you’re craving vegetarian, do try Sagar Ratna!
