JW Marquis Marriot is home to a lot of amazing restaurants like Tong Thai and Rang Mahal. I finally visited the fine dining Japanese restaurant – Izakaya for a tuna carving session followed by a 4-course meal. The ambiance is lit and gives a lot of Japanese vibes being upbeat and edgy.
The chefs carved a 100 KG tuna and gave us insights about the different cuts. I learned that it’s a very skilled job. The fresh tuna would melt in our mouth like butter.
All the courses included fresh Tuna except for the dessert. Chutoro and Toro were some of the starters. Tuna is rich in Omega 3 and Vitamin D so it was definitely tasty and nourishing.
The sushi and sashimi were great as well with soy and wasabi! The main course included some miso soup with rice and tuna.
The wasabi girl was a delight. You call her name and she appears to prepare fresh wasabi at the table the traditional way!
The dessert was a chocolate delight with a side of ice cream. Enjoyed it very much!
Izakaya is one of the finest Japanese restaurants in Dubai. The service was impeccable. The staff very friendly. The 4-course Tuna menu is recommended for tuna and Japanese cuisine lovers. You can also visit Izakaya during the restaurant week!
