One of the 10 winners of Dubai Hidden Gem 2018 and I got to check it out being a part of the Dubai Food Festival team. I had heard about Grubshack from a lot of foodies but couldn’t try it out earlier and I am glad to finally visit!
The interiors are pretty and give out great vibes as they also have live music playing every day! We got some of their famous mocktails which by the way some of the fine dining restaurants can take pointers from who usually fail to deliver delicious mocktails.
We got the Jalapeno Pani Puri and Mango Chilli. Both were outstanding and my preference was the mango.
For starters, we got the Firecracker Prawns. It was drenched in awesome sauce and the crunch on prawn makes it my favorite! The other starter was a Gemma’s Chili Crab. Rock crabs tossed on a wok in a secret sauce was heavenly. We even got our own aprons and crab crackers!
As part of Dubai Food Festival, Grub Shack is offering a meal for AED 25 only on 1st March 2018! The Chinese meal has wontons, spring rolls, and triple-decker. The triple-decker was my absolute favorite dish at this place!
The other meal option is Indian meal which has Cheese naan, tandoori chicken, and Biryani. The cheese naan with tandoori chicken was a great combo!
We were recommended the Smoking masala infused chai and it was worth it! It was kind of like Karak but had more flavor and a great presentation.
For desserts, Grubshack has partnered with the famous Kulfilicious who serves some of their Kulfi here. We tried the mango, malai, and pistachio kulfi.
Grubshack is truly a gem and deserves to be in Top 10! We enjoyed their food immensely and would be back for sure. The flavors are unique and have a lot of twists which makes Chef Gemma a remarkable chef. Grubshack goes on my highly recommended list as well.
