If you’re looking for casual dining in Sharjah, there’s always Al Majaz Waterfront! If you’d like to try some Lebanese food then Zahr El Laymoun should be your choice. The interiors are pretty and so is the outdoors with the whole corniche view.
We sat indoors initially for the starters and main course. But first got some Fresh Pomegranate juice which came in cute jars and had no sugar or sweeteners. All 100% pure pomegranate.
We ordered the signature salad which not only looked pretty but tasted great. Rocca, red fig, grilled halloumi, sesame seeds and served with honey vinegar sauce. Along with that, we ordered some hummus, mutabbal and cheese rolls.
For the mains, I tried the mixed grill which had a skewer each of kebab, lamb, and shish tawook. It came with a side of hummus although I would have preferred garlic sauce. The fresh bread was definitely a bonus!
The best and most unexpected part of the meal was the desserts. I’d highly recommend the mini biscuit cake served with chocolate sauce. Even better was the chocolate in a pan with Halawa and raisins. The serving was huge and tasted fantastic!
Overall, an excellent place to dine at. The service was good and so was the ambiance. The portions are decent. I did have a great time and wouldn’t mind coming back to Zahr El Laymoun!
