We set off on a daycation Brunch with the return of Lapita Hotel’s Polynesian Inspired Family Brunch at Dubai Park and Resorts. It is hosted at Kalea and a fascinating place as soon as you step in!
The interiors are lovely and the Polynesian themed matches the pillars to the artwork and everything around. The ceilings are high and a very spacious place. This might just be the biggest restaurant in Dubai by size or at least that I’ve been to!
The buffet is spread indoors and outdoors. The cold food inside and the hot outside. There was a lot of unique food which I haven’t seen elsewhere. The edible garden which had a base of hummus topped with chocolate soil and fresh veggies. Great presentation.
Another unique dish was the Mozzarella Balloon. At the station, Chef would blow up some Mozzarella and present it on top of tomatoes. It also tasted delicious too! You can also try the Polynesian BBQ grill station and Poisson Cru, Tahiti’s national dish made with tuna marinated in lime juice, diced vegetables, and fresh coconut milk.
The outdoors along with a live band also had a live carving station, some excellent grill, an Indian selection, and a fresh seafood buffet! My favorite was the steak and chicken at the grill!
The daycation brunch doesn’t stop with the food. You can explore spending the rest of the day soaking up the sun and taking a refreshing dip in one of the two outdoor pools and lazy river. We had the best time swimming as the weather was perfect!
The younger explorers will have their own dedicated buffet as well as an interactive juice station where exotic and healthy juice blends are created with the assistance of the Lapita crew.
The Daycation Brunch keeps the younger explorers entertained during their journey at the Luna & Nova Kids and Teens Club with a host of activities such as dancing, mini-Olympics, movie screenings, face painting, henna tattoos and arts and crafts projects.
The desserts area was impressive. Loved how most of the cakes were in a refrigerated display – very hygienic and pleasant to look at! They also serve the longest eclair, along with unique cakes like Watermelon and pineapple.
The service was great and we liked how interactive the chefs were. The daycation brunch was definitely a fun packed Friday afternoon. I would highly recommend a day out with the family this winter! Lapita is a unique resort and hope to explore more of it soon!
