During our visit to the launch of new shisha spot, View by Dusit, we technically had dinner at Jones the Grocer. The backdoor of Jones leads to the terrace and the view.
The interiors are calm and elegant. It also gives a very homely feeling. For starter, we got a burrata each and so glad didn’t have to share it.
The Jones Wagyu burger is a must try. It costs a whopping AED 89 but every bite was heavenly. Marinated wagyu and freshly minced patty along with smoked beef bacon was the key. Do order the Truffle fries with truffle mayo!
The new item on the menu – Chargrilled Harissa chicken with a side of North Africa couscous and red pepper emulsion. It wasn’t spicy yet so flavorful.
Truffle and Mushroom risotto had white truffle oil and we added chicken to it. It was good but I guess it would be even better if there was no chicken.
If you see Valrhona on the dessert menu, order it immediately. The Valrhona chocolate brownie was to die for. Not a fan of tarts but the Valrhona Jivara chocolate eclair was outstanding.
Overall, an excellent experience. I regret not trying Jones the Grocer sooner. The quality is really fine and so was the service. You can sit out at the View by Dusit and have the amazing food from Jones.
