Infinix Mobility, the fast-growing technology brand, finally revealed its new mobile phone after months of hype and speculation on 14th November 2017.
The global unveiling of the Zero 5, Infinix’s latest flagship model, took place in Dubai in partnership with local e-commerce giant Souq.com, which will stock the phone for its White Friday Sale (Nov 22-25)
The Zero 5 smartphone is Infinix’s most high-end and technologically-advanced product to date. The Chinese company will target a new generation of customers and firmly believes that the Zero 5’s innovative design and features – particularly the camera – will shock the industry and offer Best-in-Class products in the smartphone sector.
Review
It’s been a week since I have been using Zero 5 and in love with it. The box included a rubber cover and a screen guard for the phone which no other brands provide and I have purchased a Samsung, Huawei, Hisense, and Xiaomi in past 2 years. Yes, an android fan!
Using Android’s Nougat operating platform, the Zero 5 boasts an optical Zoom Dual camera and massive 16 MP front-facing camera, rear fingerprint scanner and protective screen features. Below is a casual picture I took while visiting the trade center.
The portrait mode is perfect and brings out the details. You can focus and refocus after clicking the picture as well.
But the jaw-dropping feature of the Zero 5 is unquestionably the front camera, or as Infinix has dubbed it, the ‘Selfie Camera’. The selfie cam is a mega 16 MP four-in-one camera with an LED flash to boot. In a market where the selfie is king and Instagram reigns supreme, Infinix expects the 16 MP front camera to take things to a new level and become a must-have accessory for selfie lovers.
The BOLD specifications below are very impressive given the price of the phone, it’s a steal!

Verdict
The only problem I encountered was the preinstalled software like TouchPal which was slowing down the phone. Once uninstalled, it’s running smooth as a rose leaf. If you like 6 inches of display then Infinix Zero 5 should be your first choice. It’s fast given the 6 GB ram, the cameras are outstanding and an equivalent to iPhone 8. It’s dual sim + SD card slot and the price is a major plus. Yes, I’d highly recommend Zero 5!
