Season 2 of the popular RISE: Dubai Creek Harbour, a showcase of refreshing lifestyle experiences that awaits visitors to the mega-development by Emaar Properties taking shape by the historic Dubai Creek, commences on November 10, 2017, with an exciting new calendar of activities.
Celebrating the ‘Future of Living,’ RISE: Dubai Creek Harbour welcomed over 60,000 people during the four months of its first season with an array of leisure and entertainment acts that underlined the unique urban buzz of Dubai. It also hosted a series of pop-ups by start-ups and young entrepreneurs from Dubai and beyond.
Integrating unique leisure concepts with digital technology, charming innovations and invigorating cultural exchanges, RISE: Dubai Creek Harbour has evolved further in its second season with weekly free to the public events marking the theme of ‘Future of Living.’ Season 2 also places emphasis on children with a wide range of activities including the global children’s designathon.
Every Friday and Saturday, starting November 10, 2017 to March 31, 2018, head to RISE: Dubai Creek Harbour to discover life anew in one of the most sought-after residential developments anchored by the upcoming new global icon, Dubai Creek Tower. The events will be held from noon to evening.
Season 2 of RISE: Dubai Creek Harbour will feature live music, children’s play park, food vendors and food trucks, fitness classes, interactive pods, street performers, kids activities, a retail market, complemented by exhilarating views of the sunset over the Downtown Dubai skyline and abra rides on Dubai Creek.
From November 10, enjoy the F&B spread such as Mama Italia, The Inventing Room, Khaleeji Tacos, Sushi Burrito and Camel Station, in addition to food trucks such as Moylos Burgers, Clinton Street Bakery, and Karak House.
A highlight of the first weekend is the Global Children’s Designathon that will bring out the best in design inspirations from the little ones. Children from 18 cities around the world will come together for the third time to work in parallel and design solutions for a better world. They will discuss and ideate around water issues and sustainable development, build prototypes of their ideas and present them to each other via a live connection. Over 30 children, aged 7 to 12, from Dubai are taking part in the event.
In partnership with Live Nation, weekly shows featuring Barney, Bob the Builder, Barbie and many more iconic brands will be featured. All shows will be followed by a meet and greet sessions for children to interact with their favorite characters.
Other activities include table sports, Halla Walla photo booth, Boon Coffee, face painting, mad science, and a variety of entertainment by Layla Kardan, Drums Circle, Roots Culture, Henry Boye, Jay Abo, Barney and Bob the Builder. There will be art installations as well as movie screenings.
Also watch the Nowness screening, a movement for creative excellence in storytelling by celebrating the extraordinary of every day. Helvetica, an independent feature-length documentary directed by Gary Hustwit, about typography and graphic design, will also be screened.
