Kullaj, a traditional Palestinian dessert is now available at Kullaj Omar, a 4-decade old establishment from Jordan. As part of an expansion plan across the GCC, Kullaj Omar first branch opened 5 months ago in the Emirate of Sharjah. I was excited to try it out as I got a delivery at my residence. It was in a very neat package and the whole dish sprinkled with pistachio powder.
Kullaj is made out of wheat dough, with a choice of distinctive fillings of cheese, walnuts, and pistachios. I tried all 3 of them! The cheese one was soft and gooey while both the nuts were crunchy.
It came with a side of sugar syrup if you like it soggier and sweeter. Since I have a huge sweet tooth, I poured it all over!
