India Palace has been in Dubai for around 20 years! I’ve been there a couple of times before but this time we visited the Garhoud Branch to check out the new September menu – Khansama – Masterchef Delicacy.
The interiors give you a very traditional feel. It has a lot of woodwork in traditional carvings. Live music playing popular tunes on the traditional instruments like tabla and sitar keeps the ambiance lively.
Khansama also introduced Freshly squeezed lemonades in strawberry and mango flavors. Very refreshing since summer is still here!
Starters
We got some golden fried prawns with a crispy coating. It was marinated in chili, lemon, and coriander. I enjoyed it!
Kasturi Murg came on a sizzling plate. The chicken was marinated in fenugreek and black pepper. A side of green chutney complemented the flavors.
Main course
Lamb Biryani was called Sultan-E-Gosht. It was very mild in spices and Awadhi style. The Zafrani Murg was stuffed with chicken keema, cheese, and nuts. The gravy was thick and rich.
Dessert
Heavenly slices of fried bread layered on a bed of Rabri was perfect. For me, Shahi Tukda was the best dish of the menu!
Please note India Palace serves Indo-Emirati food which is mild in spices and hotness. It is perfect for Arab and Western palettes. But do let them know if you like your food to be spicier. None the less, Khansama menu is a still treat and check it out as it’s available only for September 2017!
