We were craving for some authentic Italian cuisine and thankfully came across Margherita located on Boulevard Downtown. It has an easy access from the free parking of Dubai Opera!
The interiors are classic with a lot of wood. They also have outdoor seating which will be amazing for the Fall season! We sat indoors by the window and had a direct view of Burj Khalifa.
Anti-Pasti
Quinoa Salad with cherry tomatoes and Shrimps was our choice of salad. We got the classic Burrata which was outstanding as the tomatoes were slathered in pesto sauce.
Pasta
Ravioli Ricotta Spinaci was served in a Rose sauce. I love the stuffing in the ravioli. It was pretty generous.
My absolute comfort food is a good Bolognese and I was so glad to order one. It had a perfect meat and sauce in it.
Pizza
We got ourselves a Norcina which was my favorite as it was overloaded in Truffles. Mozzarella topped with truffle cream, truffle oil, and black truffles! I was in Truffle heaven.
We also got a Turkey Ham Pizza – Prosciutto e Funghi which was good and a Chicken Wellington. It was stuffed with taleggio cheese and spinach. It’s perfect for someone who enjoys non-spicy.
Desserts
The Chocolate Fondant came with a side of vanilla ice cream and a neat presentation. The chocolate late flowed when we broke into it.
I preferred the Tiramisu over fondant. It was creamy and full of flavors in every bite.
Margherita is nominated for the Favorite Italian restaurant (Below Dhs 400) for the What’s on awards. We think it has a great shot at winning! The service was great at the place and I’d love to be back to sit outdoors and enjoy the Truffle Pizza!
