In the beautiful lobby of Mövenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate is an Indian Restaurant called ‘Chor Bazaar’ which translates to Thieves Market and there is an offer going on which is literally a steal! We tried the Unlimited Tasting menu for AED 155 with Soft Beverages!
Starters
A plate of mix starters which included samosa, Kati roll, veg shami kebab and Pani Puri! Everything was good but the veg shami kebab was outstanding!
Grill – We got a good variety of chicken and fish tikkas. Apart from that, a platter of Paneer, salmon and some amazing lamb chops were served.
Main Course
Though they were a lot of curries to choose from, we ordered our favorites. Butter chicken, Prawn curry, and Daal. Along with some garlic naan, it was delectable.
We, of course, had to order the Biryani. The chef was kind enough to ask if we want a dum biryani or regular. We opted for the dum and it was the right choice!
Desserts
Since it was the Independence Day of India, we got a dessert platter in the theme. The laddu was fantastic!
There’s a lot of food to try but we were done at 70%. The service at Chor Bazar was great. The unlimited tasting night is every night from 7:00 – 11:00 PM. They also have a package of AED 255 with house beverages.
