Upon entrance are the lounge area and the bar which leads to the dining space. The restaurant was packed with people so I couldn’t click more pictures of the interiors. It’s very urban and classy though.

Drinks

We got some mocktails – Mango Mule and Chicha Colada. The mango mule had ginger ale, lime, and honey in it and came in a large glass. The chicha colada had a nice presentation but the glass was tiny. The drink was excellent though – made with Purple corn + pina colada.

If it’s latin cuisine then Ceviche is a must try. We got the Chimera with sea bass and scallops. It was the best one I’ve had yet! The flavors just explode in the mouth! Highly recommended!

Wakamole came with a side of Nachos and was more on a tangier side which I loved.

The beef was torched right in front of us and created this beautiful dish with lots of flavors. Although bite-size, it was packed with flavors.

Some BBQ Wagyu beef with potatoes and corn was my kind of a dish. I can have it anytime. The dip on the side was excellent!

Truffled Quinoa Risotto – Every bite of Truffled quinoa a was pleasure. Definitely one of the best dishes I’ve tried in 2017. The quinoa was creamy and so very flavorful. The grated truffles on top was a huge plus too!

Arroz Con Pato – Duck, orange glazed and coriander rice was over shadowed due to the Truffle Quinoa. Even though the coriander rice was tasty, I just had to go back to the quinoa.

Salted Caramel Cheesecake was the perfect end. A beautiful and unique presentation to it. It came with a side of Raspberry sorbet. It had a lot of piloncillo honey drizzled as well!

Chef Roberto Segura has an exciting menu and showcases the Latino flavors brilliantly. In 2016, there was a boom in Dubai with Latin restaurants. Waka is late to the party but will definitely shine brightly! Highly recommended.
