Another Friday, which means another Brunch. This time it was a completely new cuisine for us – the Alpine Cuisine from the Alps of Switzerland, France, and Italy. The ambiance matches the theme of the restaurant.
A ski lodge with complete wood work and ski lifts. A bar sits in the middle of the restaurant with seating indoors and outdoors. We sat next to a cute LED fire place with occasional sounds of crackle and pop.
We got our usuals – A pina colada and a berry mocktail.
Starters
A small selection of cold starters to choose from. Some of the items were pasta, sushi, quinoa salad.
There was also a lot of cheese and some chicken skewers along with some bread and cold cuts.
Main Course
The main course is served a la carte style. You can choose one item from the menu or order a sharing item for 2. We opted for 2 dishes.
We got a Pizza Montagnarde – It had a white base with bacon, onions, and Reblochon cheese. The cheese was new to me!b I should have ordered a dish with raclette cheese as Reblochon has a different smell and taste.
Tartiflette is a French dish from the Savoy region in the French Alps. It is made with potatoes, reblochon cheese, lardons, and onions. It was similar to the Pizza and the waiter did warn us!
Desserts
Another small station dedicated to the desserts. Pies, profiteroles, caramel, brownies, panna cotta and more was available.
A live cooking station for the waffles. I’ve never had such good looking waffle presented and tasted great as well.
The outdoors has a great view and ambiance. Unfortunately, it’s a curse to be seated outside in the summers.
The buffet is small compared to other places but one will enjoy everything if familiar with the European and Alpine cuisine. Priced at AED 185 for food only and AED 295 with Beverages. The service was good! This would be a fun place in the better weather for sure!
