The Observatory, Dubai

Summer is upon Dubai and we need great places to chill out especially on weekends. The Observatory located on the 52nd floor of the Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites has just launched a Summer special lunch (brunch buffet style) that takes place every Saturday!

The interiors are pretty classic with 360 views of Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah.  It was a little hazy the day we went but the views were breath taking.

The Observatory has also launched new Frosé cocktail menu. We tried the Frose mocktails and hands down it’s the best mocktails that I’ve tried. The Very Berry had a lot of layers of berries. The Watermelon & Mint was very unique and refreshing.

Mid brunch, we ordered another round and this time it was The Lychee cooler which was outstanding as well. Perfect drinks for summers. Highly recommend them!

The Saturday brunch had quite a collection and stations. First stop was at the British Indian station. Some really good mild spiced curries with rice and naan were available.

The Sushi counter was impressive. We tried most of them and were really good. The vegetarian and Omelette sushi was unique.

The pulled beef slider was prepared by the chef and at the live station and I loved it. Got a jack potato as a side. There was a lot to choose from.

It’s not Christmas but they are serving Turkey and a huge variety of sides. Yorkshire pudding, potatoes, veggies, creamed spinach and of course cranberry sauce!

There was also Lasagne and pasta too which I now regret not tasting.

There’s a separate Pork section for those who eat. Spotted a lot of different cuts.

Our last stop was the Steak station. Meat, Chicken, Salmon, and variety of cuts were present but prawns were missing. You can get it marinated with a lot of sauces. I chose the chimmi churri sauce for the steak and garlic chili for the chicken. Both were really good!

The most real estate space went onto the dessert section. A Huge spread of mini desserts from eclairs to panna cotta and cakes. An ice cream station and a chocolate fountain along with in-house chocolates.

There were gummies for the kids and fruits for the health freaks as well. I think it was my favorite station as always!

Overall, a great experience. Frose summer cocktails is a must try! The service was great and the views mesmerizing. The Saturday Summer Brunch is priced at AED 195 per person. Drinks are charged separately. A perfect place for summer? Yes!
