If you’re looking for a Fine Steakhouse or a fancy restaurant, the answer lies inside the iconic Fairmont Hotel on Sheikh Zyed Rd, Dubai at The Exchange Grill. The multiple award-winning restaurant has some classy interiors and is very spacious.
We got a Berry Blast mocktail and a fresh Orange juice to begin with! Both refreshing.
Starters
Crabcakes with Mango salsa, puree, and caviar on top. One of the finest that I’ve tried. The combination was excellent. It’s also one of their best sellers which I would definitely recommend!
Artichoke Salad looked like a messy plate but the flavors were spot on. We wiped it clean!
Chef Salad was light and full of flavors. A perfect starter of baby vegetables, crispy bacon, watercress, and truffle.
Main course
A 12 oz NY Striploin for the lady with scallops on top. It was well marinated with Chef’s secret spices. The potato on the side looks like a scallop but was indeed a potato cube.
Pomme Mousseline / Mashed Potato was one of the best I’ve tried. We had an option of various topping and we were glad to choose truffle. It was the smoothest and the creamiest.
I ordered myself a 10 oz. Kobe Filet which had a butterfly cut and done medium-well. Tasted best with peppercorn gravy.
It was juicy, tender and probably the best steak I’ve had. We also had a platter of sauces to try with it. I also enjoyed the mushroom sauce.
Desserts
Fruits with Mango Sorbet and Kiwi Tart. A must try after a heavy meal.
Deconstructed Cheese Cake was very light and compliments the meal after the heavy meal. The plating was a piece of art that we almost didn’t want to destroy. But then we did!
We had an outstanding experience. Big thanks to the server for guiding us with the steak. The service was great. The Exchange Grill will be my top recommendation for a steak house! And of course the Mashed potatoes!
