I’ve been to Dubai Mall Fountain an infinite number of times and walked by Social House. It looks like a decent sized cafe from outside til I discovered the indoors. It’s a humungous restaurant once you step in and we were in for a treat.
The interiors are mostly wood overlooking the kitchen and a lot of trees popping in between. I’d have preferred them to be real trees though.
The ambiance is very earthy and relaxing. It has a seating capacity from small or extra large tables. We sat indoors with a view of Dubai Fountains. They also have an outdoor area.
Starters
We got a Spicy tom yum soup. The flavors were spot on!
Chicken Quesadillas were not grilled or crunchy as I prefer it yet the taste was great. We also loved dip.
Main Course
Beef Lasagne – It was a plateful and saucy. Loved every bite and I would eat this again!
Seafood Mi Goreng – Again a big portion. I am not a fan of noodles but my partner enjoyed it.
Since it was Ramadan, we tried the special Ramadan Grill platter. The kebabs were juicy and chicken well marinated. It had a salad and hummus below the meat. I think this dish needs to go permanently on the menu if not there yet!
Desserts
A quick suggestion came through my Insta-story, a foodie asked me to try their Chocolate Mud cake. It was probably the best suggestion I had. It was sinfully good with caramelized bananas, ice cream, and some whip cream.
We also got a Chocolate Walnut Brownie which was super good! Good for sharing as it might be too big for one after all that food.
We got some Mocha and Latte to wash down the dessert with. The mocha is probably the only thing I didn’t like it as it was way too bitter.
Overall, the Social House is a great place to eat, drink and socialize especially if you’re in Dubai Mall! The visit for desserts alone would be worth it! The staff was friendly and service excellent. Also worth a mention – The packaging for takeaway was great! I’d recommend this place!
