The Vintage Room – a new restaurant in Jumeirah 1 that serves Indian and Italian cuisine. We went for Iftar but tried out their a la carte menu instead of the Iftar menu!
The interiors are not vintage as expected but more like modern and has a lot of golden touches. Comfortable chairs and sofas will keep you relaxed.
We got a fruit platter, dates and some fresh juices to break our fast.
Since we went for the A la carte menu, for starters, we got a Paneer Tikka and a non-veg platter. It included seekh kabab, chicken, prawn, and salmon. Enjoyed the kebabs the most out of all.
For the main course, we got Bhuna gosht, Fried okra, and Daal along with a bread basket. The okra was crispy and crunchy that we loved. The meat and daal was quite good too.
Indian Dessert platter had some mini gulab jamuns, ras malai, and ice cream.
We also got a falooda which was creamy and had some pretty art on the plate. The extensive art is unnecessary though since it’s not a fine dining restaurant.
Overall, it’s a decent place if you’d like to try Indian and Italian at the same time. The prices are on the higher side though. The service was great and there’s free parking outside!
