This was our first actual Iftar at a restaurant in Dubai for Ramadan 2017. Until now, it had only been the previews since we were traveling. This beautiful tent is located in JW Marquis at the Dubai Ballroom with its own entrance and valet parking.
The ballroom is dressed up pretty in Drapes, lightings, and colors with the dessert station placed in the center of the room. The main buffet is in the parallel room and quite large.
Starters
Quite a lot of Arabic salads and starters to choose from. We stuffed ourselves with Hummus, Mutabbal, muhammara, Felafel and spring rolls.
Main Course
A variety of cuisine was available with dedicated stations. Every station had many dishes. Arabic, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Italian, Carving Station and much more.
The penne pasta from Italian station was great. Enjoyed Lamb Biryani from the Indian Station and dim sums from the Chinese.
They also served Lamb ouzi and Shrimp kabsa. Both of them were excellent!
Desserts
The desserts were mainly Levant and Turkish. We did love the Sticky Date pudding and mini kunafa. They also had a live Turkish ice cream station.
The buffet included Ramadan drinks and Soft drinks. The service was excellent. The only problem you might face is if you come late. The main buffet closes at 8:30 rather than the usual 9:00. The dessert station was open til 9:00 though. They also serve Suhoor from 9:00 PM – 3:00 AM.
Price: AED 199
Timing: 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM (Sun-Sat)
