Back at Tresind for the 3rd time and it never gets old. Instead, it always feels new and creative. This time it was for the Iftar preview 2017! I was far more impressed than in 2016 for various reasons.
The starters or Iftar items were laid out on the table to welcome us! An amazing Dragon Fruit chat blew my mind. Along with it was a baby lettuce with an excellent caesar dressing on it.
The drink served was Almond lassi in almond leaves. Hats off for the creativity. Served along were some hummus, olives, and bread.
Tandoori Prawn with a Hollandaise Foam was amazingly good! A lot of work into it.
The starters included Tandoori Lamb Chop with Rosemary reduction was tender and a teaser. I could have a whole plate of those.
From the Grill, they have some juicy seekh kababs and Wagyu Beef boti. You can’t pick a favorite. Both were presented beautifully.
You know the main course is coming when the Palette cleanser arrives. This time it was Apricot sorbet.
You can pick 1 main course out of the 3. Since we are bloggers, we got to try all three! =D
Rajasthani Lal Mas – Tender mutton with some thick gravy.
Kerela Fish Moilee – Grilled fish in a very light gravy and veggies.
My pick was the butter chicken. Grilled pieces of chicken with some outstanding gravy!
You also get a choice of Biryani and we chose the Lamb Biryani out of the Chicken and Prawn. No raita was served but got it quick upon request.
The dessert platter has been upgraded from 2016. So much of variety and it was much larger. Mini daulat ki chat and Rasgullah were my favorites. As usual, you also get the famous Pan cotton candy before leaving. The service this time was excellent.
The Iftar at Tresind is priced at AED 150++ which is very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of dishes they are serving. I’d highly recommend it and it definitely tops the list this year!
