Friday Brunch at China Grill has a lot to offer and we were ready to explore this high-end restaurant which is located in Westin Mina Seyahi across Marina. The brunch is a set menu!
The ambiance was a work of art. High ceilings and floating lamps in the air made it a dimly lit place and a romantic one. We would also call it very stylish and sophisticated.
The restaurant was buzzing with people and it was a full house. They also have an upstairs bar and seating.
We ordered some virgin mojitos as drinks and our octopus salad came in for us to begin with.
The starters followed and the table slowly filled with dim sums. A lot of variety of dim sums. We got shrimp, chicken, beef and a sweet one too.
A platter of sushi came in next. It had 3 different variety and some papaya salad. All of them were delectable.
They also had a live station for Duck pancakes. It was very light and soft! We then got some Beef satay and prawns.
While we were enjoying our starters, the Live entertainment began. Two girls and a man performed on some of the early 30’s tunes.
After a while, a gymnast dancer performed and blew everyone away with her body bending tricks. We received our main course while the show went on. It was a delicious grilled salmon.
For the desserts, we got a fruit tart with some matcha tea ice cream. Although we enjoyed the berries and the tart, the next dessert was way better.
Banana in a box was very innovative. It was layered with chocolate, nuts, ice cream and a huge dome placed on top. It would melt when rum is poured over. They got us the alcoholic one by mistake and later replaced it.
Although we had a good time, this Brunch is meant for people who enjoy drinking as the pace of food is set to slow. China Grill offers two different packages. It’s on the higher end at AED 450 and AED 550.
