If you ever happen to be in Barsha and in need to chill out for drinks and Sheesha, Ora Lounge and bar is the place! Located on the rooftop of Cassells Hotel, there’s plenty of parking available and it’s right next to the metro. We went on a Thursday night and it was a special Spanish night and they had a special DJ Yas from Ibiza.
Interiors
The rooftop is quite big in space. A lot of tables under the cabana which was full when we arrived. We walked in at 11 PM and the lounge was LIT! Bright neon lights in shade of purple and blue all around the place.
We sat on the high chairs overlooking the neon bridge that separated the lounge and ordered some mocktails. We later got our own table.
We got ourselves some Mocktails. Fruit punch and a Pina Colada. They also had complimentary nuts on the tables.
We enjoyed our drinks and it was refreshing. The lounge started to slowly fill up with people while we sip our drinks.
Since the weather was lovely and no better place to have sheesha than a rooftop. We ordered a grape sheesha. It was very smooth and perfect.
They also had a Shawarma stand in case you get hungry after all the dancing. We did not try it though as we already had a heavy dinner at The Oberoi, but many people seem to enjoy it.
After midnight, it was a full house and the ambiance was lively than ever. People of different nationalities danced to every tune.
DJ Yas was fabulous. She played some variety of music and mixed it up pretty good! From Spanish to Russian and Bollywood, she played it all. I don’t think she even took a break for the 2 hours we were there.
Around 1:00 am the weather got weird. There was a thunderstorm and the rain came down! But that did not stop people from partying.
For those who drink, they have a fully stocked bar and keep a check with them as they sometimes offer Free house drinks to the ladies!
Plenty of friendly staff around to assist you. Special shout out to the coal guy who would change the coals at the perfect time. There was also a lot of bouncers for the special night! It’s a good place to chill with your friends!
