Marco’s is an authentic Italian Kitchen located in the Pyramids of Wafi Mall. This area is exclusive to Fine dining and casual restaurants. We went to Marco’s for a lunch date and we were instantly transported to Italy!
Interiors
They have indoor seating as well as outdoors. It was a little hot for us to sit outside so we opted to sit indoors, even though it was much prettier outdoors with its own garden growing fresh vegetables.
The indoors have an open kitchen and a lot of woodwork. A lot of sunlight brightens up the place naturally.
Starters
Our must order is Burrata which was served Mediterranean style. It not only looked pretty but tasted pretty amazing.
The other starter was Popplette which was classic Italian meatballs in tomato sauce. It was very fresh and delectable. Please note they serve Pork dishes as well so you can inform in advance if you don’t want any.
Pizza
They serve some authentic flatbread style pizzas and we got the Regina Margherita. It had fresh mozzarella and fresh Basil!
Main course
Cannelloni was the best dish we tried. Homemade pasta stuffed with Spinach and ricotta cheese. A Must try!!
The lasagne was a little saltier than expected but the beef was generous and it was saucy as we like it!
The Gnocchi was pretty good. It was full of gorgonzola cheese and was had chopped walnuts. Really enjoyed it!
Dessert
Hands down the best presentation for a Tiramisu. It was soft and juicy and had a lot of cocoa on it as well. You wouldn’t want to share this with anyone!
We also got the home-made gelato in a bowl. The flavors were chocolate and vanilla. It was pretty decent but we’ve had better.
The salami of chocolate was excellent! Chocolate mixed with cookies and served with wild berries will pump you up. I’d highly recommend it!
Marco’s does serve Authentic Italian dishes. They also have aged beef which no one else is serving in Dubai. We opted for more comfort food and it was a great decision. This is a great place if you’re looking to try Italian food!
