Delifrance, the world’s leading French bakery-café chain, has opened in Dubai, serving up a variety of products inspired by the French ‘Art de Vivre’ and Parisian elegance.
Whilst Delifrance opened its first restaurant in 1984, its heritage dates back to 1919 as an offset of Grands Moulins de Paris. Today, it boasts an international franchise of over 400 outlets across 13 countries, with its most recent openings including Hong Kong and Milan.
We visited their location in Dubai Mall which is right across the Waterfall. The seating manages to be very cozy inside the world’s biggest and busiest mall. It also gives the perfect view and backdrop of the fountains and we found ourselves in for a surprise date.
As we admired the ambiance and settled in, we ordered ourselves a couple of their special drinks. It was served in large glasses and were refreshing.
We jumped right on to the main course and ordered a Croque Monsieur with smoked turkey ham, gruyere cheese, béchamel cheese sauce, whole grain mustard, baked with mozzarella. It was a delicious treat.
We also got a Beef Lasagne which was excellent in taste but maybe a little small in size. It was loaded with sauce and meat which we loved.
Carrot cake and the Chocolate fondant were the recommended desserts. We loved both of them. The fondant was topped with ice cream and some extra caramel.
Delifrance also offers their award-winning patisseries, including croissants and pain au chocolat. Their French pastry is made from top quality wheat. Delifrance endeavors to work with ingredients that make a difference to the end product, including free range eggs for instance.
The brand believes that “sharing food is a typical French way of life, to know how to enjoy good food and talk around the table with the ones we love is the greatest way to do it”.
If you’re looking to take a break from all the shopping or just have some French delights, Delifrance is the spot to visit. We surely had a pleasant time!
Wow, sounds like an amazing place to eat. Wish I had stopped there during my visit. Just way too many options.
