Fundining Brunch – Crowne Plaza Dubai

Fundining Brunch has been launched in December and every Friday Al Dana at Crowne Plaza Dubai turns into a Fun Dining Friday Brunch! The brunch includes 13 restaurants and bars and is on from 1 pm – 4 pm, having live cooking stations from all 13 restaurants and bars and two live bands.

The restaurant was busy and we started sampling everything. We have been twice to Sakura (Full review)  and loved it both the times. The sushi was being freshly prepared right at the counter and did not disappoint!

We have never tried Wagamama but heard a lot of good things about it. This time we got to try their dish of the day. It some delicious Prawn Firecracker with rice.

We have plans to visit Al Fresco soon. The Italian restaurant was serving some crispy Bruschetta and Saffron Risotto. From the samples, we know how our future experience will be! =D

The western steakhouse was also incorporated in the Brunch area and we could walk in directly to the restaurant. Although there was a separate section for Pork, the steakhouse was also serving it.

Al Tannour was serving Shawarma and some amazing Ouzi – Rice with meat. The meat was soft, flavorful and tender while the rice had roasted nuts. Mr. A’s favorite dish of the night!

There was large cheese station present in the center of the restaurant from Oscar’s Vine society. Although we didn’t try any, it was presented beautifully!

Although we had an amazing time when we tried the Brazilian joint – Chamas, (Full review) the service was very slow. Perhaps due to the restaurant being downstairs and far away from the brunch. We got ourselves a huge plate of our favorite Grilled Pineapples but no meat.

There was a huge variety of seafood to choose from which could be grilled and prepared according to taste. We were too stuffed to try any of it.

If there are 13 restaurants and bars serving – There’s got to be a LOT of desserts and yes there was! The desserts ranged from Arabic to Brazilian. There were ice creams, chocolates, cheesecakes, fondant, small jars of goodness, and lots more. Some macaroons did also make it our plate.

We could probably write another blog post just on the desserts being served. We thoroughly enjoyed them and below is just a sample!

There are three packages to choose from and we got ourselves the AED 250 with soft drinks and juices. There are a lof of bars and drinks to enjoy if you choose the House Beverages package. The live music made the atmosphere lively and looked like everyone was having fun! A great place for having brunch.
