Al Falamanki, Dubai

Al Falamanki is not only a son’s tribute to his father but also showcases the history and culture of Lebanon and its cuisine. The restaurant has a very interesting story to tell so make sure you read it on their menu.

Interiors

I’ve passed many times by the restaurant and it looks small from outside. But once we entered, it was huge in space with a traditional feel and vibes. They have outdoors, semi-outdoor and indoors for dining.

All of the interiors have been imported from Lebanon including the tiles to give a homely feeling. The outdoor garden and the vintage items are unique and worth the visit.

Drinks

I got Falamanji cocktail which had mango, strawberry, banana and passion fruit while dubaigirl got herself Mkhafaaji which had Strawberry, orange, and mixed berries. Both were fresh and delish.

Salad & Starters

For the Salad, we got ‘My Mother Souad’s Fattouch’ which is enough for 2. It was very unique in terms of taste with fresh ingredients. An excellent choice to start with.

For starters, we got Hummus with meat & pine nuts, Mutabbal, Cheese rolls and Spicy potatoes. All the starters were delicious and the favorite would be the Potatoes. The only complaint I’ll have is ‘no freshly baked bread!’ to go with the starters. It’s definitely something they should consider serving to enhance the taste further.

Main course

We got Legendary meat on dough from the Oven. It had some delicious meat on thin bread which was baked fresh. I probably ate 80% of that bread!

We ordered Mixed Skewers which came with a side of Potato Bravas and hummus dip. The kebabs were excellent and I enjoyed the fries even more.

They also make Fresh Saj in Brown bread with no sugar, oil or milk. We ordered the Kashkaval cheese & Turkey. No doubt it’s the healthier version but also lacks the tastiness.

Desserts

Dubaigirl got herself a bowl of Ice cream with Rose, Chocolate, and Pistachio. It was delicious and the scoops were big and cannot be single handled after all that food.

I got their specialty – Anis’ Cotton Candy. It was not the sugary one but Arabic and a Traditional version. So our surprise there was huge scoops of Ice cream under the cotton candy. It’s definitely a sharing plate due to its serving size! Recommended!!!

Shisha

Most of the outlets don’t serve shisha in the afternoon but Al Falamanki does. We sat back and relaxed sipping chamomile tea and the smooth shisha til 5 pm.

Al Falamanki Produce

Al Falamanki also has a space dedicated to sells produce from Lebanon. Something worth checking out!
