Sahara Grill has arrived in Dubai all the way from London! Best known for their Halal steaks and unique flavors. The restaurant is located in The Mall right opposite Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Last week, we got to try their Dubai menu!
The place is really really huge in size. The interiors are very well done and sofas were very comfortable. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. The warm lighting and ambiance will keep you relaxed at all time.
Starters
For starters, we got the Sahara Lamb chops. The flavors are absolutely unique and of the finest quality. I would highly recommend this dish to everyone! Even if you are not a meat lover.
The other starter – Buffalo wings which again was unique in flavors. It came with a side of sauce which is not even needed as the wings are excellent on its own.
Main course
Mr. A got the Sahara Flamed Grilled Chicken which came with a side of Mashed potatoes, coleslaw and some pepper gravy. The boneless chicken was very juicy and well marinated. He enjoyed the dish!
I’m a huge fan of English-style Fish and Chips but the owner had warned me that this particular dish wasn’t their specialty and that I should order the grilled fish instead. But I was craving for the fried fish so I still took the risk. I wish I would have listened to the owner’s advice instead because the fish tasted stale and it wasn’t as crispy as I anticipated it to be. Also, the cut fries served with the fish tasted stale and hard to chew. If you’re a fish lover, don’t order this one.
We also got a Chicken Burger to share. It had a slice of cheese and few onions and tomato. We also got cut fries with it. The burger was juicy and tasty.
Desserts
We got the Chocolate Cheesecake and Tiramisu for our desserts. While I thought the cheesecake was good and decent, strangely Mr. A’s sweet tooth said it was too sweet! The Tiramisu was presented well but it was kind of dry. In my opinion, the desserts need improvement!
Sahara Grill is a fantastic place for a family dine-in. They don’t serve sheesha and has a lot of space to accommodate large groups. The staff is well trained and attentive. The Sahara Grill specialties are a must try! I would definitely come back for the Lamb chops.
