Our encounter with GROM didn’t start in Dubai but in summer of 2015 in Milan, Italy while exploring the Piazza del Duomo on a hot summer day!
One of the exits led us to the Statue of Leonardo Da Vinci and across it was GROM, where we experienced the heavenly Italian Gelato for the first time. It helped us beat the heat wave which was one of the worst in 30 years.
But this review is about our recent visit to the Box Park branch in Dubai. The interiors are bright and cosy enough for you to sit in and enjoy your gelato. You also get a lot of options to choose from.
Grom serves Italian gelatos, Affogatos, Hot chocolate, Frappes and a lot of goodies on the side. Grom claims to be 100% natural as they don’t use any flavouring, emulsifiers or colours.
We both tried the Large Grom cups with 3 flavors each which were AED 32 each. They have a lot of flavors to try from.
Mr. A: Got my favorite Dark chocolate, Cookies, and Strawberry Sorbet. No favorites…Loved them all equally.
Dubaigirl: She got her Hazelnut, Mango sorbet, and Coconut. Enjoyed them all but the mango was extra heavenly.
GROM is growing across the world and has 3 branches in Dubai already. The corporation – Unilever has bought GROM for an undisclosed amount in 2015 which I hope does not drop quality over time as most corporations do!
GROM is highly recommended if you’d like to try the Italian Gelatos in a lot of natural flavors! We loved it in Italy and we loved it in Dubai.
Love the photos on your blog posts 🙂
