We visited Thiptara in March 2016 for the Hypno Thai Friday Brunch and it was our 2nd Zomato meet up. It was a huge event and we got to meet a lot of Foodies for the first time! For some reason Thiptara was lost in my drafts and never got around to finish the review..but its never too late!
Thiptara is located at the Ground Level of The Palace Downtown Dubai. The entrance and the views are mesmerizing since its right at the fountain. The interior and exterior have a lot of strong Thai elements.
The Thai brunch had a lot of variety to drink which includes Alcohol and Non-Alcoholic drinks and of course there were coconuts.
The appetizers, starters, desserts and the Salads were at the buffet table while the main courses were being served at the dining table itself.
There was a huge variety of options. Unfortunately, in all the chaos of the event, we did not pay much attention to what was being served and the staff was very busy to point out what we were having.
It’s probably the only restaurant which is serving a Thai Brunch and everything being authentic and flavorful.
We both enjoyed the main courses served. The lobster, Chicken Curry, and the Beef fry were excellent.
The ambiance inside the restaurant is romantic and I would suggest visiting in the daytime to maximize the views.
You also have an option of sitting outside right across the views of the upcoming opera house and Burj Khalifa.
The desserts were excellent. Loved the mango with sticky rice. Once again, a huge variety of desserts as well.
If you are Thai food fan or a regular Friday bruncher, this place is highly recommended. Even if you are not, Thiptara is an excellent spot for a date night. You can also check out FAI next door with the same views, drinks and sheesha!
