As soon as you enter Majlis Al Safina, you will be mesmerized by the ambiance. The beautiful decor in Red and Gold with soft lights beaming from everywhere. The high ceilings and the Live instrumental music will transform you in a state of peace.
We were invited for the Media event Iftar preview. There is free valet outside and once entered we were escorted to our table and were served the Ramadan drinks. They had variety of choices including Buttermilk, apricot, tamarind, dates and cranberry. You could also order a fresh coconut!
The tables were well laid out in a spacious manner and had all the appetizers to break the fast like dates and nuts. There was also private sofas like an actual majlis style for seating as well along the 3 sides of the room.
The cuisine was mainly Levantine. The buffet is spread out in another room and away from the dining area. The buffet area was also spread out spaciously.
They had more counters featuring variety of food and gravies including Lamb Oozi and Quesadillas.
The meat station was impressive. Truely enjoyed the Wagyu beef steak with pepper sauce.
Another section was the Live Arabic grill outdoors with Jumeirah beach hotel in the backdrop. Variety of meat, chicken, prawns and shawarma being served here.
The dessert collection was awesome. I loved the Strawberry tarts and the Emirati lougmat. Mr. A loved the berry truffle. There was home made ice cream as well which we forgot to try after stuffing ourselves with the mains and the desserts!
We opted for Chamomile tea after the huge feast.
The experience at Majlis Al Safina was excellent. One of the few restaurants where I did not have a problem with anything. Service was excellent, so was the food. The ambiance charming and desserts amazing…Recommended!
