C. Taste was our first Iftar preview in Sharjah, located at the Centro Rotana Hotel near Sharjah Airport. The Iftar buffet will be available during Ramadan for AED 99 per person and Suhoor Buffet for AED 80.
Although the restaurant is located in one corner of the Hotel, the seating expands all the way to the lobby of the hotel giving a grand feeling of the sky ceiling.
The Buffet was very straight forward. Divided into 3 sections: The Starters, Main course and the desserts.
The starters included all the Arabic hot and cold mezzes, lots of Salads, Lentil Soup and pickles.
The main course station had Chicken Kabsa which was the best dish out there. It was also good to take a break from Lamb Oozi which is served at every Iftar buffet in Dubai. C.Taste also served harees which was missing from all our other Iftar previews. Most of the main courses were average though.
The dessert stations had plenty of sweet treats. They covered all types of Arabic desserts. Mouhalabiya was my favorite followed by the dumplings in Sugar syrup.
Over all, go there for the ambiance. The food needs improvement particularly the main courses.
