GOSH Primer Plus Illuminating Skin Perfector

I have been using primers for over three years now. Choosing the right base can instantly transform your average foundation into the luminous coverage that your skin needs during any season. Porefessional primer by benefit and Sephora’s illuminating primer are my most trusted ones.

I have been using GOSH Primer Plus Illuminating Skin Perfector before applying GOSH Foundation drops and they make the perfect combination ever. My foundation drops are easier to apply and long lasting once hence I apply it over the primer plus. I haven’t tried mixing it with the foundation drops because I’m more comfortable with priming my face first. My face feels more hydrated and smooth if I apply primer first to minimize my pores.

It is very light weight than any other primers that I have used. It has a yellow tint to it but once I apply it on my face, the yellow tint disappears as it gets absorbed very quickly and this silky formula minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines. For an instantly brilliant yet natural glow, this silicone-free primer is the perfect formula.

Verdict :

It brightens and smoothens my skin without any other make-up as evident in the above picture. My make up stays put all day when I apply it beneath my foundation or BB cream and I can still see a subtle, healthy glow. Although I see myself reaching for Porefessional primer for weekends and blogger events but I use GOSH primer plus more for my daily makeup routine.  It is definitely worth buying again.

GOSH BB Skin Perfecting Kit

Although GOSH BB Skin Perfecting Kit 02 Medium is designed to sculpt, conceal and highlight your skin but it’s a HUGE disappointment since the colors lack pigmentation.

This Kit contains two concealers to cover up small imperfections, reshape and sculpt the skin and a sparkling highlighter.

Apply the lightest colour around and under the eye area and to brighten up dark circles and other dark areas on the skin. The sparkling highlighter can be applied on the cheekbones and beneath the brow.

Verdict:

Sadly the colors are not well pigmented and are very light on my skin as you can see above. The staying power is also weak. They don’t conceal my dark circles or contour since they’re so light in color. All I can see is an oily shine once I apply this. Even the highlighter isn’t too impressive because it doesn’t give the luminous glow. It only makes my skin look oily. I will surely not be buying this. Out of all the products that I chose at GOSH, this one is a waste. You should opt for the powder highlight and contour kit instead.

GOSH Bronzing Shimmer Powder

I love using bronzers especially in summers I feel better with a golden glow. So when I was offered to take 5 products of my choice from GOSH for review, I just had to get their bronzing shimmer powder in 001 Bronze for my sun-starved skin. Strangely the colors in this kit look very different in different lighting. If you compare the two pictures, the colors look pinkish in the above picture which was taken in day light whereas they look brownish in the picture below taken at night.

As advised, I used a big make-up brush for application. The shades are great for defining cheekbones and collarbones. It’s a really nice bronze shades kit, although the colors are  not so pigmented, but when you mix them all they give a decent color. If you’re using for contouring like I do, then you won’t need much on your brush. I mix all of them together and use it for contouring and it works fine for me.

There are 5 shades in the bronzing palette, I really liked this because you can use different combinations of shades from the palette to slightly tone your look down or up. It’s very multi-tonal, and not glittery at all, although it does have a discrete shimmer to it.

GOSH bronzing Shimmer powder is perfume free, which I really like as I don’t like to use products with a strong smell on my face. This bronzer sets off a tan really nicely.  The staying power is okay, with no need to reapply until the evening.

VERDICT

I’m liking this bronzer. It is definitely my new ‘go to’ bronzer. I love the fact that there are 5 different shades to combine, and was very impressed with the overall quality of the product. It’s really wearable on a daily basis. Great for someone who is just starting out with their make-up collection.
