Friday Garden Brunch, Kempinski Hotel, Ajman

Friday Garden Brunch should be renamed as the GRAND FRIDAY GARDEN BRUNCH. An event held every Friday at the Cafe Kranzler in Kempinski Hotel, Ajman. Five live cooking stations of different cuisines, Breakfast, Starters, Drinks and desserts all set up in a garden area with a beach and a pool view and Live music all add up to its GRANDEUR. In addition kids had their own station!

The buffet station for Starters and desserts are located inside in the Cafe. Rest of the live cooking stations are outside in the garden.

The starters station had an incredible variety. It had international cold salads as well Seafood delicacies such as Poached Salmon, Crabs and Scallops. There were even Arabic appetizers such as Hummus, Stuffed Grape Leaves and Mutabbal.

The Healthy Shooter Bar was a visual delight. I tried the Carrot and orange and it was delicious and Fresh. The best part was that the healthy shots were so tasty that most of the kids were coming back for more.

Once you exit the Cafe and enter the Garden area, first up was the Meat Grill Station. The Jumbo prawns were succulent and grilled to perfection. The Fish was fresh and tasty as hell. Moreover they were serving three different types of fish, all being grilled right in front of you.

Besides the Seafood Grill was the Meat Grill serving Lamb chops, Steak and Grilled Chicken. The Beef used was imported from Australia and was of highest quality. The best thing was that it was marinated overnight, hence the flavors were well absorbed, making the steaks so tender and juicy. The Lamb chops were my favorite.

The grilled vegetable and sauce cart was even more exciting. They had more than 8 types of Barbecue sauces along with grilled tomatoes, pineapples, orange, corn and lot more variety which you will not find anywhere else.

There’s plenty of Staff running around the Garden in case you need assistance. We ordered non Alcoholic Mojitos from the Drinks station and the waiter brought it to our table as soon as it was ready. They were so refreshing.

The garden was decked out with Umbrellas and Benches giving a very picnic vibe. It was very family friendly and it even had kids corner with a small Jumping castle and PlayStation area with beanie bags to keep the kids busy while the parents could enjoy their Brunch.

In addition to the Grill Station there were four more Live stations which included Italian, Chinese, Indian and Laventine cuisine.

The Indian Station which had some amazing variety of delicious Indian food was representing their own Bukhara Restaurant. They were making  Garlic Naan (Bread) in a portable Indian style oven called Tandoor right in front of us. They even had popadums which are my favourite. The Bukhara Daal was mouth watering. I tried almost everything from this station including the delectable tandoori prawns and the creamy style melt-in-your-mouth Mattar Paneer (Green peas with Indian Cottage cheese). The Garlic naan were so soft and flavorful that I couldn’t stop nibbling them.

The Arabic station had Chicken Shawarma and a Chickpea dish with tahina which was outstanding. There was also kibbeh and Cheese rolls. It was all so irresistibly delicious yet very light on your stomach.

The Italian Station had Lasagna and prepared fresh Pasta on order. I didn’t enjoy the Penne pasta since it was a bit too al dente for my liking whereas I always prefer the soft one. The sauce was good though.

From the Chinese station I tried the Chicken Wantons with Soya sauce. I simply loved these. Other than that they were also cooking chicken wok with vegetables on order.

Live Music always creates a relaxing environment. The Chef wasn’t just a great cook but also a great singer.

After trying all the heavenly dishes we had very little room for some excellent desserts. The desserts were placed in a very unique way in 8 x 8 Cube boxes and again had a lot of variety.

I loved the sweet mango mini tarts and the tangy blueberry tarts. The cheesecake also tasted divine. The presentation of all the desserts was impeccable.

The mango and strawberry Parfaits were both velvety and creamy, just perfect! Other than these there were also chocolate based dessert variety for which I had no room left. There was even a cotton candy cart for kids. Needless to say all the kids were queuing there.

On the whole I thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed soothing vibe of the Garden Brunch. Not only me but all the guests there were all looking so relaxed and comfortable. This is the kind of buffet where they had something for everyone. Hats off to Chef Manoj and his team for their hard work and creativity which was evident in the selection, taste and presentation of the dishes at the Garden Buffet. Chef Manoj was quick to point out that they keep on shuffling the dishes and the Healthy Shooter Bar every Friday so that each Friday there is something fresh and exciting to look forward to at the Garden Brunch. I highly recommend this place to those who love five star brunches with the variety of different cuisines along with a picturesque private beach view which is hard to find in Dubai.
